From Caterer to Video game designer
G'day! I’m Adam and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I am a half-Australian and half-Canadian video game designer.
Early life
​
As a youngster I made fictional maps, created stories which I then read to my class and later filmed short claymation and live action films. I made stick figure animations, drew characters, and finally learned how to make a game by Game Maker in high school. In late 2015, I quit my job as a caterer and decided to follow my original dream of becoming a professional game designer.

When I was either 6 or 7 years old, I played games on the internet on my Windows 95 computer. As I got older, I played arcades - mostly fighting and shooting games, which are now my favourite genres. I was wowed by their presentation and juiciness. Sometime after that, I was also wowed by the Nintendo Game Cube and Game Boy Colour demos at the shops.

I begged my mother to get the Nintendo GameCube with games like Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Party 4 etc. And boom! Wish granted; Not only did I grow up with Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, and Sonic Games, but I also grew up with other amazing games from the 90's like DOOM, Quake, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Marvel vs Capcom from Arcades and PC respectfully.
As a Game designer

I am a very passionate video game designer who loves not only video games, but comic books, myths and folklore, travelling, music, haunted houses, and monster trucks. I love designing video games!
I have completed many video game-related courses including two in game design. I not only design games, I can program C#, 3D model and sculpt, animate, rig, retopo, UI design and use Photoshop.
My goal is to make awesome and exciting video games like in the good ole days when passion was the game designer’s greatest weapon.
My side dream is to create a fictional universe out of video games; full of heroes, monsters, aliens, gods, badasses, warriors, demons, and Aussies!
